Salvamont 2.15

Salvamont is the official application of the National Association of Mountain Rescuers in Romania (A.N.S.M.R.), developed in partnership with Vodafone Romania.

In the SOS section, you have access to a service for locating your phone's position, through which you can notify the Salvamont dispatch in real-time about your route and coordinates, altitude, and even your phone's battery level.

The SOS service is recommended for all those traveling in challenging weather conditions or on unknown routes. This way, the Salvamont team can monitor the number of tourists in risky areas, and in case they urgently contact the dispatch, their geographical position can be easily identified, significantly reducing the time for locating and rescuing them.

Upon the user's request only, the application will attempt to locate the phone's position using the GPS function or mobile phone antennas triangulation, then sending the information to the Salvamont dispatch.

The active location feature can be kept during a longer route to keep the Salvamont team informed throughout the entire excursion.
